Dominique Seguin

President / Founder

Seadew Media is dedicated to creating, acquiring and developing director-driven film and television IP.   Its commitment: stories that matter now – stories that reflect a clear vision and a strong voice.

Founder Dominique collaborates with highly motivated, passionate and experienced multicultural partners, using a strong combination of creative flair, together with well-established business acumen and long-standing relationships with reliable financing, production and distribution partners.

Dominique’s credits include the Academy Award–winning Dallas Buyers Club (Post Production Producer) directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto and major Canada–Germany co-production Race (Producer), directed by Stephen Hopkins, starring Stephan James and Jason Sudeikis.  Both films were released by Focus Features and achieved critical and commercial success.

Before producing, Dominique was the film and television financing manager at FIDEC – La Financière des entreprises culturelles, a Montreal-based limited partnership backed by National Bank of Canada – the major banking financial anchor, SODEC – the Quebec government’s cultural development arm, Fond de solidarity (FTQ), the big Labour- sponsored investment fund and other industry partners.   With $45.5 million in working capital, FIDEC pioneered Canada’s independent film – gap lending model – one later adopted by National Bank of Canada to finance over $600 million in production loans.

Over nearly a decade, Dominique structured deals with a 100 percent recoupment rate.  She worked across borders with  Lionsgate, Voltage Pictures, Gaumont,  Comerica, Natexis, Coficiné and others – forging the financial and creative relationships that now define SeaDew Media’s global approach today.

SeaDew Media is supported by a select group of advisors whose expertise in entertainment law, business strategy, and international partnerships strengthens the company’s global growth.
